About the Artist
Jackie’s art classes are designed to inspire students to relax and create openly from within. Her approach balances technical instruction with meditation, which enables the student to realize their unique gifts and abilities in a non-judgemental environment. Jackie’s experience as an artist, teacher, author and meditator is extensive, giving credibility to her classes. For a resume of her achievements, please follow this link.
Presently living in Toronto, Ontario, Jackie gives weekly art classes in various mediums to her students. Mid-week and weekend workshops are available upon request.
Jackie’s technical skills and her ability to capture the true nature of her subject makes her portraiture and commission work compelling. Although she has a high degree of realism in her work, whether it is of people, animals or landscapes, the essence of her subject still radiates forth from the canvas.

Throughout the years, she has had successful solo and group shows throughout Ontario and was a top finalist in an international portrait conference. Her original images in oil, pastel and watercolour can be found in art collections across North America, England, Germany and Thailand. They are also found in her book, Muskoka Boathouses, published by Boston Mills Press in 1991. This coffee table style book features forty of her original pastel paintings and her own written history of each subject.
If interested in either classes, workshops or a portrait commission please contact Jackie.
